The New Year’s Eve Numerals in Times Square are an iconic symbol of the annual celebration that takes place in the heart of New York City. Every year, millions of people from around the world gather in Times Square to ring in the new year and watch the ball drop at midnight. The numerals, which represent the year that is coming to an end, are a focal point of the celebration and are displayed prominently on One Times Square for all to see. In 2023, the 2024 numerals will be on display in Times Square from 22 – 24 December, 2023.

Closing Thoughts
There is a tradition of displaying the Times Square Numerals in Father Duffy Square before they are hoisted on One Times Square under the iconic ball to ring in the new year. One of my favorite times to visit Times Square is a couple of weeks before the New Year to see the New Year’s Eve Numerals on the ground before they are hoisted all the way up to their perch under the Times Square Ball. There is a celebatory air about them, as there is of disbelief that another year is coming to an end, and it is definitely worth a great photo op if you are visiting Times Square in mid December.
