Longchamp, the French luxury brand, has collaborated with the Robert Indiana Legacy Initiative to create a limited edition collection featuring Robert Indiana’s iconic LOVE artwork on its signature Le Pliage® bag. It is a great intersection of fashion and art, which has been on display a lot recently in New York City which has featured the collaboration of Louis Vuitton with the artist Yayoi Kusama, or Bulgari’s celebration of 75 years of its iconic Serpenti collection.
Robert Indiana LOVE artwork, with its bold, colorful letters stacked on top of each other, has become an enduring symbol of hope and unity, and Longchamp’s collaboration with Indiana is a fitting tribute to his legacy and a celebration of his art’s enduring appeal.
The partnership between Longchamp and the Robert Indiana Legacy Initiative sees the “LOVE” motif taking center stage, reinventing Longchamp’s iconic Le Pliage bag as a canvas for Robert Indiana’s art. It reproduces Indiana’s LOVE image and his number collection, adapted from Indiana’s original artwork, on iconic Le Pliage® bags, along with clothing and accessories that have been specially designed for this collection.
