Pride Celebrations in Brooklyn
I had plans to visit BAM in Brooklyn for a ballet called Giselle this weekend, and totally stumbled upon Brooklyn Pride which was being celebrated on Saturday. While I did not get a chance to attend the main parade, we found lots of local celebrations in all the neighborhoods we visited.
We started at the Branded Saloon in Prospect Heights, which had a huge set up outside thanks to open streets in the summer. Here is a video of my favorite bartender there, Patrick, telling us about the drink specials –
Absolutely love his advice to sanitize your hands, but never your thoughts!
There were a bunch of other performances there, but the only one I have a video of is this one –
We finally decided to move on from Branded Saloon, and stumbled upon a Pride parade on our way to Park Slope – I know, I know, that was a long walk away!
The streets were buzzing with people out to celebrate, one even with the best seat in the house on the pedestrian lights!

All in all a fabulous celebration of Pride in Brooklyn!
